Biography
Azza has been researching drug safety since she joined Public Citizen’s Health Research Group in December 2013. She is an expert in analyzing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System. She also conducts research studies related to inmates with serious mental illnesses in the criminal justice system, ethics in clinical trials, and health care professionals’ accountability using the National Practitioner Data Bank. She is a contributing author to Worst Pills, Best Pills News and Health Letter. Prior to joining Public Citizen, Azza worked as health researcher at various organizations including WellPoint, LeadingAge and IMPAQ International.
