Head Bioinformatician, South African Tuberculosis Bioinformatics Initiative (SATBBI)DST/NRF Centre of Excellence for Biomedical Tuberculosis Research SAMRC Centre for Tuberculosis Research. Professor of Bioinformatics, Division of Molecular Biology and Human Genetics Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Stellenbosch University. His research centers on the application of bioinformatics and statistics to analyze large datasets and convert data to knowledge. His current research is on predictive modeling of outcomes after tuberculosis exposure and infection, using omic data from both host and pathogen.
