Since 2005 Gereon Fink Rudolf is the Director at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine 3 (Cognitive Neuroscience), Forschungszentrum Jülich, and since 2006 professor and director of the Department of Neurology at the University of Cologne.From 2004 to 2006 was already deputy director of the neurological clinic at the University Hospital Aachen and Professor of Neurology at the RWTH Aachen. 2003 Fink was awarded the Science Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2004 him the Pette price was German Neurological Society (DGN) awarded. He has authored more than 200 published articles internationally (including in Nature and Science) and editor of numerous monographs, book chapters and books. His research involves experiments on the functioning of the human brain, on the effects of a stroke, for cognitive neuroscience and the development of new neurological therapy methods. The developed in the Cologne hospital Cologne Consultant Concept, a new model of medical care in the hospital, was awarded the 2008 1st prize in the Hospital Innovation Competition. In March 2009, he was appointed 2nd Vice-President of the German Society for Clinical Neurophysiology and Functional Imaging (DGKN) selected [1], a short time later the President of the Board [2]. In 2009 he was awarded the International Research Award of the Fürst-Donnersmarck-Stiftung. The price is the only global research award for neurological rehabilitation and was awarded for the second time since 2006
