Nurodegenerative diseases (NDD) such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD) are the third most common cause of mortality after cardiovascular and oncological diseases. In PD, most of the dopaminergic neurons die in a special section of the brain called the nigrostriatal system. People have impaired motor function: there is trembling, stiffness of movements.
