Application of ERCP and Spyglass Technique in Diagnosis of Pediatric Botryoid Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Biliary Duct

Biliary neoplasms are rare in the pediatric population; however, botryoid variant of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma should be considered in a young child presenting with a mass obstructing the biliary tree. Obtaining a diagnostic tissue sample and tumor management are challenging in this location. We report a case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma involving the common and right hepatic ducts in a female child. The diagnostic tissue sample was obtained via endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Spyglass technology.
