There are very few cases in the literature on spinal cryptococcomas occurring alone without cerebral involvement at onset. Although cases of cerebral cryptoccomas followed by arachnoiditis have been reported, cases of spinal cryptococcoma followed by cryptococcal meningitis are exceedingly rare.
