Dr. Abou Zeid received her M.D. degree with distinction from AUB (2002). She then completed a oneyear post-doctoral research fellow (2002-2003), and a one year internship in Internal Medicine (2003-2004) at AUB. She went on to do three years of residency training in Neurology, including one year as Chief Resident, at Duke University Medical Center (2004-2007), and a two-year fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester (2007-2009). Dr. Abou Zeid is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Since 2009, Dr. Abou Zeid has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Wake Forest University Health Sciences in North Carolina. Dr. Abou Zeid will be involved in teaching medical students and residents in conjunction with the Abu Haidar Neuroscience Institute and will help in launching the Multiple Sclerosis program at AUBMC. She will also be involved in the clinical activities of the Neurology in general and Multiple Sclerosis services in particular.
