Biography
Paulo Marcos Zech Coelho, born in Belo Horizonte, is part of a long tradition of researchers from Minas Gerais, and from Fiocruz Minas, who investigate schistosomiasis. Graduated in Pharmacy, in 1968, from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, he soon joined the first class of the postgraduate course at the Department of Parasitology at UFMG [1] , with Professor José Pellegrino, renowned scientist in the area as his master's advisor. .
