Dr. Roberto Tirindelli was born in Cremona and took the degree in Veterinary Medicine and the abilitation at the University of Parma.After a year as a postdoc at the University of Pisa, I moved to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Leeds University (UK) where I spent three years as a Research Fellow.In 1990, I was appointed at the Medical School of the Parma University as a Assistant Professor in Physiology.From 1992 to 2000 I have spent regular terms at the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda) as a Visiting Scientist. In 2001, I became Associate Professor in Physiology.his research interest have always been focused on the mechanisms that regulate the sensory signal transduction in Vision and Olfaction.His actual aim is to understand the molecular basis of the pheromonal communication in mammals.
