He graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (1999), PhD in Biological Chemistry at UFRJ (2004). He is currently Associate Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) and the Institute of Psychiatry (IPUB) at UFRJ, Fellow of CNPq level II productivity, Young Scientist FAPERJ and Coordinator of the Research Program in Neuroscience Basic and Clinical ICB-UFRJ . He has experience in the area of Neuroscience and Psychiatry, acting on the following topics: Cognitive Neurotherapy, neuroplasticity, schizophrenia, dementia and neurotransmitter amino acids
