Biography
With an academic and clinically broad-based training in medicine, Dr. Rumana settled within the TX Medical Center in Houston and became USMLE certified. She expanded her clinical skills and experience during a number of clinical rotations in prominent hospitals. During this time, she developed a keen interest in fundamental changes in pathophysiology and their translation to clinical medicine. She was employed by the U. S. Dept. of Education in the Federal TRIO Program. Having completed a certification in Clinical Research sponsored by the National Institute of Health, she participated in a number of projects in cardiometabolic risk and clinical outcomes.
