Biography
Weisheng Hu received B.Sc, M.En, and Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, and Nanjing University in 1986, 1989 and 1997 respectively. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a Post-doctorate fellow from 1997 to 1998, and as professor from 1999 up to now. He was a member of the Task Force of two national projects: CAINONET and 3TNET supported by 863 Program, China from 1999 to 2006. He is the director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Networks, which is ranked at the national level in photonics research in China.
