Assessment of Knowledge, Attitude, Practice of Mother To Child Transmission of HIV (MTCT) among Pregnant Mothers Attending Antenatal Clinic at Pagak Health Center, South Sudan

Background: The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) can be
transmitted from HIV positive mothers to their child during
pregnancy, at time of giving birth and breastfeeding. Majority of
children infection with HIV is due to Mother To Child Transmission
(MTCT). The prevalence of Mother To Child Transmission (MTCT)
of HIV in pregnant HIV positive women with no intervention ranges
from 15%-45%.
Objective: To assess the knowledge, attitude, Practice of
Mother To Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) among pregnant
mothers attending antenatal clinic at Pagak health center, South
Sudan
