Elisabeth Braun Lucassen, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She studied Biology and German Studies at Vassar College and attended medical school at Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her Neurology residency at the University of Rochester, followed by a fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at the University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland with Ludwig Kappos’ group. Since joining the faculty at Penn State, she has served on the Clinical Advisory Committee for the central Pennsylvania chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and is currently the Co-director of the Penn State Multiple Sclerosis Center. She is actively involved in clinical trials and investigator-initiated research in Multiple Sclerosis, teaching medical students and residents, and developing Neurology curriculum in undergraduate medical education. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, and the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers.
