Dr. Fahad Saleem graduated with a pharmacy degree from University of Baluchistan (UOB) in 2001. Following his pharmacy pre-registration training, he undertook his Master’s studies in the field of Business Administration at Iqra University, Quetta, Baluchistan and graduated in 2006. Furthermore, he completed his MPhil in the field of Pharmacology from UOB in 2007. Upon completion of his Master’s degree, he had been appointed as Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, University of Baluchistan, Pakistan. In the year 2010, he was selected to receive the “Universiti Sains Malaysia Fellowship” to pursue his PhD studies in the field of pharmacy practice at Discipline of Social & Administrative Pharmacy, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. During hid PhD, Dr. Fahad managed to receive 6 travelling grants and published a record of 14 research articles. He had been successfully awarded with a PhD degree in 2013. Currently, he is working as a Senior Lecturer at Discipline of Social & Administrative Pharmacy, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. At present, he is actively involved in many international organization such as International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP), International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), Health Action International-Asia Pacific (HAI-AP), Action on Antibiotic Resistant (ReAct) and International Network for Rational Use of Drugs (INRUD). As an avid researcher and writer, Dr. Fahad Saleem has published more than 100 full research journal articles in international peer reviewed journals, co-authored 3 books and had presented in more than 50 international conferences worldwide. For the past three years, Dr. Fahad Saleem is the recipient of ‘Anugerah Sanggar Sanjung’ from Universiti Sains Malaysia under the category for best publication.
