His research activity focused on practically all the disciplines included in the scientific-disciplinary sector MED / 18 - General Surgery and the interdisciplinary themes that include them (surgical physiopathology, surgery of the digestive system, oncological surgery, experimental surgery, senology, bariatric surgery, endocrine-surgery, emergency surgery, video-assisted laparoscopic surgery), extending to disciplines included in similar scientific-disciplinary sectors, such as vascular surgery, thoracic surgery and plastic surgery. He is the author of over 260 publications, in Italian, English and French, appeared in the main national and international magazines, and in some book chapters and treatises. He has been a speaker at numerous conferences and refresher courses, both in Italy and abroad.
He has research interest in surgical physiopathology, surgery of the digestive system, oncological surgery, experimental surgery, senology, bariatric surgery, endocrine-surgery, emergency surgery, video-assisted laparoscopic surgery.
