Dr.Gen Matsumoto is an Associate Professor of Anatomy in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the Nagasaki University School of Medicine,since 2014.He was a research associate in RIKEN Brain Science Institute, Japan (2005 to 2014).He is a recipient of research grants from the ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology(MEXT) of Japan.
Molecular mechanisms behind the neurodegeneration including neuronal aging, neuroinflammation, and regulation of neuronal protein degradation by ubiquitination, phosphorylation, lysosome, proteasome, selective autophagy, and protein aggregation.
