Dr. J. Pandiaraja did his undergraduate MBBS studies at Mahatma Gandhi medical college and research institute. He did his surgical training (M.S) in world renewed Government Stanley medical college (SMC), chennai. Some of the notable alumni of SMC include world’s top liver transplant surgeon Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rela, former Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner for the county of Los Angeles Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran, and ortho-paedic surgeon Dr. Balu Sankaran who is best known for setting up the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO). He is trained in Minimal Access Surgery (MAS) under the guidance of Prof .Dr. C. Palanivelu. He holds fellowship in minimal access surgery, fellowship in Indian association of gastrointestinal endosurgeons, endoscopy fellowship in Indian association of gastrointestinal endosurgeons. He is trained palliative care provider in advanced gastrointestinal malignancy and certified narcotic drug provider in advanced gastrointestinal malignancy. He underwent extensive training in gastrointestinal endoscopy, laparoscopy, trauma and emergency care. He is an active member and coordinator in All India council of human rights, liberties and social justice. He had an opportunity for live interaction with former people president Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam. His innovation in medical sciences helps a lot in gastrointestinal disease including “Pandiaraja pentard”, pancreatic sign in acute necrotizing pancreatitis and upper gastrointestinal sing in chronic mesenteric ischemia
