Dr. Ravi Kaushik is Assistant Professor in Maulana Azad Medical College (Delhi University), India. He holds MD from Delhi University and a certificate in management from Wharton Business School, and has done projects related to Oncology, tobacco control, and epidemiology. He has handled numerous clinical trials in India, Africa and USA. He has also worked extensively on research projects related to occupational diseases. Till recently he was working with ICMR-National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) and ‘WHO-FCTC Global Knowledge Hub on Smokeless Tobacco’ as Scientist and was Nodal officer, National Tobacco Testing Laboratory. Dr. Kaushik has been involved in various governmental programs like the “National Drug control & De-addiction Task Force”. He is handling four studies of a global project “ASTRA – Addressing Smokeless Tobacco and Building Research Capacity in South Asia”, a National Institute for Health Research, UK (NIHR) funded project as co-investigator. He is also involved with an ICMR-taskforce study on smokelesstobacco and reproductive health.
He has research interest in Oral Cancer Pathogenesis and epidemiology, Cervical Cancer prevention, Tobacco control research.
