Biography

Motivated and collaboration-oriented scientist with 8-years of research experience in cellular & molecular biology of neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease) resulting in $1.5M lab-grant funding from NIH, 4 published manuscripts in international journals, and patenting of a novel drug tested for Parkinson’s disease using in-vivo rodent-based model (in process). 

Innovative researcher with a strong focus on assay development as evidenced by media coverage reports of CRISPR/Cas9-based developed research tool (Media & links) and 3 scientific fellowships (including 1 from the National Institutes of Health).

Excellent communicator with advanced writing skills resulting in 5+ international conference presentations (Society for Neuroscience), and recipient of 3-scientific presentation awards during graduate and postdoctoral training.
