Egyptology is the investigation of antiquated Egyptian history, language, writing, religion, engineering and workmanship from the fifth thousand years BC until the finish of its local strict practices in the fourth century AD. A professional of the order is an "Egyptologist". Egyptology is principally viewed similar to a philological control, while in North America it is frequently viewed as a part of prehistoric studies. Egyptology was built up as a scholastic order through the examination of Emmanuel de Rougé in France, Samuel Birch in England, and Heinrich Brugsch in Germany.
