Total Knee Arthroplasty

Knee replacement, also called knee arthroplasty or total knee replacement, is a surgical procedure to resurface a knee damaged by arthritis. Metal and plastic parts are used to cap the ends of the bones that form the knee joint, along with the kneecap. Total Knee Arthroplasty is a very common method for the treatment of knees having arthritis. This method has become very reliable and effective for the osteoarthritic patients. These methods have also allowed the doctors to treat such patients in a more effective and reproducible way. Previously, knee surgery or knee transplantation was a challenging task for the doctors and other licensed professionals because there are several problems involved with the concerned diseases. In cases of knee arthritis or osteoarthritis, patients have bony abnormalities that include change in the angle of neck shaft, bone deformity, rotation in the bone angle, structural changes in the model of various types of bones, etc. An average of 10% of all the patients gets deformity in the bone structures. This becomes a challenging task for the surgeons to correct the deformities occurring in bones due to mechanical stress or obesity. The use of total knee arthroplasty has led a major remedy towards the salvation of all the above problems. Journal Article is sometimes called a Scientific Article, a Peer-Reviewed Article, or a Scholarly Research Article. Together, journal articles in a particular field are often referred to as The Literature. Journal articles are most often Primary Research Articles. Because articles in scientific journals are specific, meticulously cited and peer-reviewed, journal databases are the best place to look for information on previous research on your species. Without a background in the field, journal articles may be hard to understand - however, you do not need to understand an entire article to be able to get valuable information from it.
