Vasculitis

Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It happens when the body's immune system attacks the blood vessel by mistake. It can happen because of an infection, a medicine, or another disease. The cause is often unknown. Vasculitis can affect arteries, veins and capillaries. Vasculitis is a conditional abnormality that occurs in the human body when body’s own immune system attacks blood vessels’ tissues or cells by mistake. This may occur due to several reasons like allergy, side effects of medicines, environmental changes, any viral or fungal infection or any disease. On account of vasculitis, body’s circulatory system gets affected majorly that leads to serious consequences, like redness, inflammation and sometimes, even death. The impact factor of journal provides quantitative assessment tool for grading, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of similar kind. It reflects the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals in a particular year or period, and is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. It is first devised by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is evaluated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years.
