Hematopoietic Stem cell transplantation is one of the therapeutic interventions that have evolved dramatically since the late 1950s. There is steady increase in the annul number of transplants not only due to the wide indication for Autologous and Allogeneic stem cell transplantation but also due to the advancements in the technologies, transplant protocols and supportive services. There is a global need to expand, optimize and simplify such services, especially in larger countries where distance could play an important role in access to specialized care. Centralizing such important and specialized service have negative cost and health outcome implications such as high operating cost, staff burnout and long waiting list. In an era for global financial constrains; innovative approaches to reach cost efficiency and optimal clinical outcomes with high quality standards are still not readily available. Establishing new transplant programs are costly and require huge financial and administrative support. This cost could be prohibitive and might deprive patients from accessing such modality in a timely manner and high quality. We have established a national collaborative process to help establishing transplant centers and optimize the required services in those areas.
