Antibodies Function

The activated B-cell differentiate into either antibody producing cells called plasma cells or memory cells that survive in the body years after the treatment. They remain in the body in order to recognize the antigen if it again enters the body and thus produce antibodies immediately to kill the antigen. Since the antibodies are present in the blood stream hence they are known as humoral immune system.
