Antimycobacterial is a therapy to treat mycobacterial infections. This therapy can treat different diseases caused by different mycobacteria like Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium leprae. This antimicrobial therapy includes different types of drugs to treat diseases. Some of the drugs include are capreomycin, viomycin and enviomycin.
These therapies basically render the mycobacterial genome in such a way that they resist further growth in an individual. The main approach behind the study of antimicrobial therapy is to improve the patient and its disease causing susceptibility.
Antimicrobial therapy kills all the microbes like virus, fungi and bacteria that causes various microbial diseases. These therapies involved a stepwise process, aimed at killing of microbe and producing antimicrobial component in the host body, so that it won't grow again.
