Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome and strong desire or concern to do something or for something to happen. Another type of anxiety, stranger anxiety and social anxiety are caused when people are apprehensive around strangers or other people in general.
Anxiety is a normal human emotion that everyone experiences at times. Many people feel anxious, or nervous, when faced with a problem at work, before taking a test, or making an important decision. Anxiety isn’t always a bad thing. In fact, it can motivate you and help you stay focused under pressure. But when worries, fears, or panic attacks start to get in the way of your life, you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder.
