Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is also known as pink eye. It is inflammation of the conjunctiva (the outer most layer of the eye and therefore the inner surface of the eyelids).It is usually because of infection (usually viral, however generally bacterial) or an allergic reaction.

Conjunctivitis will have an effect on one or each eyes and is most likely diagnosis in somebody with eye redness and discharge (fluid coming from the eye).
