Forensic Geology is concerned with the application of geological data and techniques in relation to issues which may come before a court of law. It is closely related to environmental forensics, forensic engineering and forensic archaeology. Environmental forensics is somewhat broader in scope than forensic geology. It frequently involves investigations of environmental problems such as water and air pollution.
