Molecular bacteriology

Molecular bacteriology is the application and understanding the molecular, cellular level, environmental level of bacteria and maintenance of antimicrobial resistance. This is a study to understand the molecular epidemiology and genetic background of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and research on antimicrobial and bacteria chemotherapeutics of bacteria.

The molecular level of studying mycobacteria allows early detection of the disease alongwith its treatment at its initial stage.

Molecular bacteriology also enhances the biotechnological advances to target the disease responsible gene and to alter the responsive gene, so that the disease causing level of the mycobacteria deminishes. It is the technological advancement of molecular biology for increaseing the drug suceptibility of an individual.
