Peanut Allergy Immunotherapy

Peanut allergy is treated by oral immunotherapy (OIT). By this we can achieve safer level of tolerance. Sublingual immunotherapy results in sustained unresponsiveness in peanut allergic people.

This therapy increase tolerance levels to allergen. However treatments such as vaccines and antibodies are also under development, but the new oral immunotherapy is said to be the first to strongly allow people to tolerate such a food allergy.
