Perioperative care

Perioperative care is the care that is given earlier, throughout and later surgery. Perioperative care is mostly seen in hospitals, in surgical centers which are close to hospitals, in self-supporting operating centers or medical care providers. Perioperative care period is used to make the patient physically and mentally ready for the operating procedure and after the surgical treatment. In case of emergency operations this phase can be short and even unaware to the patient and for optional surgeries perioperative care can be relatively long. Info attained throughout preoperative valuation is used as a source for the care strategy for the patient. The perioperative period which is rarely indicated the perioperative period is the phase which describes the length of a patient's operating process. This usually comprises hospital ward admission, anesthesia, operation, and retrieval. Perioperative period commonly mentions the three stages of operation such as preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative. The objective of perioperative care is to offer healthier surroundings for patients before the operation, during the operation, and after the operation.
