Sedation

Sedation is a state where anesthesia is induced in a patient by administrating sedatives. Sedation is a state where patient gets relaxed physiologically by reducing irritability, nervousness. It is a safe and effective method can be used for minor surgical and medical procedures.

 As per The American Society of Anesthesiologists, sedation is the precursor level for the General Anesthesia. It is known that there are three levels of sedation depending in the conscious and the stimulation during sedated period. The three levels of the sedations namely, Minimal Sedation, Moderate Sedation and Deep Sedation. In UK deep sedation is considered as a part of general anesthesia.
