A separation process is used to distinguish/separate substances into more distinct products. Usually the separation methods result in a pure form of substance or may require a group of separation techniques to obtain a pure product. Separation methods are based on physical and chemical properties of the components.
Various separation techniques are followed by the research community. For example : Precipitation, Extraction, Distillation, Chromatography & its various types, Decantation, Evaporation etc.
