Systemic Lupus Erythmatosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease which causes inflammation joint pain and tissue damage. This happens because our immune system mistaken a healthy tissue for a foreign object. It is a chronic disease that has worsening symptoms which alternate with periods of mild symptoms.
